What first comes to mind when we hear about Ghana's northern region? It seems like people always have something negative to say about Ghana's northern region, but in reality, it's one of the most beautiful places you could possibly see while traveling around Ghana. Most people who have never gone to the northern part of Ghana find themselves believing the negative stories that have been long created as a result of bad experiences. This tourist attraction is situated in the upper west. It is closer to the Jirapa Dubai popularly known as Royal Cosy Hills Hotel. For everyone who comes to the area, the hotel alone acts as a tourist attraction. The park is an additional destination, and customer service is excellent. Lions and other wild creatures are kept there. You can go on a boat ride, a safari, or ride a bike while you're there.

The Wichau Hippo Sanctuary

This is another site that is worth mentioning which is also found in the northern part of Ghana, upper West and Wa West to be precise. The sanctuary has a stretch of the Black Volta and this is a home to a number of Hippos.
