Curry and King James Lead the Charge

France gets defeated as Team USA wins gold in an exciting Olympic basketball final.

Team USA’s pair of stars, LeBron James and Stephen Curry, thrilled the crowd in the final game of the Olympic basketball tournament. It was a momentous occasion for them as they led their team to a hard-fought victory over France in the tournament's final match. The win by the American team was due to their unwavering tenacity, expertise, and teamwork which left fans all over the globe not surprised, but thrilled because, it is the MVPs, who would not think they would carry the day.

The Duo

Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry showed intense brilliance with his long-range shooting that had him spanking threes from beyond the arc. With his 33 points including seven three-pointers, the French defense had no answer. Nobody understood how Curry got on fire so quickly after nailing one triple after another at will; his explosiveness is unmatched and he has been compared to “The Chef.” Cooking and grilling.

LeBron James from Los Angeles Lakers could not be overshadowed either as he commanded inside and outside a court by showcasing unmatched versatility. In addition, King James made 28 points, 10 rebounds and provided teammates with 7 assists exhibiting his fantastic all-around skills. France was still falling apart due to L.B.J.’s non-stop bullying trips down the ball’s path when he had to shoot free throws or make another accurate pass.

Nevertheless, it was Victor Wembanyama, a young Frenchman, who stood out among others to have played one of the most spectacular games ever. At only 20 years old, this prodigy scored 25 points, had 12 rebounds, and made 3 blocks showing why he is regarded as the future of French basketball. His amazing playing got him a standing ovation from spectators and both teams praised him for his skill and sportsmanship.

However, France’s supporting cast could not match the depth and firepower that Team USA wielded. Despite having put up a brave fight, the French unit fell short in the end as Curry and James’ combined score of 61 points proved to be too much.

It is the game that we loved and better luck next time team France.
